Installation Notes for All Sizes
- Under 500 gallons: Compacted gravel base is sufficient. Set level and check with a spirit level after placing — an uneven foundation causes chronic base stress. No crane needed; most can be tipped off a trailer by two people.
- 500–1,500 gallons: A concrete ring or full 4" slab is strongly recommended. Tanks in this range arrive by flatbed and typically require a tractor loader or small crane to position. Call ahead to confirm delivery access.
- 1,500–3,000 gallons: A 6" reinforced concrete pad is required for permanent installation. Crane or construction equipment mandatory for placement. Check permit requirements with your county before ordering — most jurisdictions require permits for potable tanks above 1,000 gallons.
